pmonframe was originally developed as an add-on for a commercial (closed source) project by David Kaspar Fischer
in Switzerland. During development, it became obvious that the range of applications was not limited to any
particular topic. Therefore, pmonframe is now available as open source, and published in the hope that it
may be useful for other developers.
